The Wayne County Health Department Environmental Health Division

The Primary mission of the Wayne County Health Department Environmental Health Division is to prevent and control the spread of communicable disease and minimize safety and health hazards by maintaining a safe and healthy environment through the enforcement of state and local regulations and through the education of the public in matters related to individual and public health.

The staff is composed of four field registered sanitarians, one Supervisor, one Director and a clerk/secretary. Each sanitarian is responsible for conducting the environmental health programs within his/her designated area of program concentration.

Vital Statistics (birth and death certificates) issued Monday - Friday  8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Environmental Health Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  Closed for lunch from 12:00 - 1:15
WIC - By Appointment Only.  Closed for lunch 12:00 - 1:00
Pt. Care Walk-In Clinics Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 1:00 - 4:00.
